Star Wars returns to the cinema with a special twist

Star Wars returns

It’s been 25 years since George Lucas tackled a new “Star Wars” trilogy. To mark this anniversary, “The Phantom Menace” returns to the big screen – and you’ll also get an exclusive preview.

In 1999, George Lucas began his narrative about how Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) found a baby boy on the remote desert planet of Tatooine: Anakin Skywalker (Jake Lloyd). The “Star Wars” prequel trilogy thus began – with the opening chapter about the resurgence of the dark side of the Force.

From May 3, 2024, you can see the much-discussed beginning of the saga once again on the big screens. But Star Wars returns this time only for a few days. Tickets can now be purchased at cinemas. By the way, there will even be numerous marathon screenings in the USA with all nine episodes of the Skywalker saga in one go.

“Star Wars: Episode I”: in cinemas with preview of “The Acolyte”

As part of the special screenings of “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace”, fans can also look forward to an exclusive look at the new series “Star Wars: The Acolyte” in selected cinemas. According to current information, this series takes place about 100 years before the events in “Episode I”. It’ll show how the evil masterminds are already plnning the return of the Sith. But the completely unsuspecting Jedi believe themselves safe in their position of power. For now, the big news is that the original Star Wars returns to the cinemas from early May.

“The Acolyte” will then launch on Disney+ on June 5, 2024.
