Deadpool and Wolverine Marvel Crossover: The ultimate Marvel showdown is set for July 26, as they join forces in the MCU. Get ready for an epic adventure!
Fans are eagerly waiting for the July 26 premiere of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. The movie will mark a historic moment as these beloved characters from the “X-Men” universe finally unite in the MCU. With Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman playing Deadpool and Wolverine respecively, this crossover promises to be nothing short of legendary.
On July 26, there will finally be a reunion of two of the most popular characters from the ‘X-Men’ universe. In ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ – as the title suggests – the claw man, played by Hugh Jackman, meets Wade Wilson aka Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds). Exactly what the long-awaited crossover will look like, which will finally bring the two iconic comic book characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is still a well-kept secret. But now that Jackman is making his MCU debut, a pipe dream he had previously expressed could also come true – at least in theory.
In an interview back in 2013 Hugh Jackman wished for a crossover between the “X-Men” and the Avengers squad. Because that would allow him to finally face off against one of the most popular Marvel heroes ever: Tony Stark, better known as Iron Man.
At the time, the two franchises were still separate cinematic universes, but since Disney acquired 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox), the previously separate worlds have come closer together – with ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ as the preliminary climax, which of course opens the doors for further screen summits.
Wolverine VS Iron Man?
“I asked just the other day, ‘I don’t know what the legal situation is, but why don’t these companies get together? Why isn’t that possible?'” Jackman thought this about ten years ago, when the merger of Disney and Fox was still a dream of the future. “Personally, I’d love to have it with Robert Downey’s Iron Man and kick his ass. That would be great! There you have it, that’s your quote,” he said.
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ will be released in the theaters on 26th June, 2024.
