“Invincible” fans had to wait two and a half years for the second season of the acclaimed superhero series. But then it was stopped again after just four new episodes.
A break in the middle of Invincible’s second season was problematic because fans had to wait so long for it. As the gap between the second and third season narrows, fans won’t have to wait very long. Invincible still has the potential to release more one-shot specials and spin-offs. Both of these could help with the content drought. The early return of Season 2 was crucial and the date being close, the fans are happy so far.
“The Boys” and its spin-off “Gen V” aren’t the only bloody superhero series Amazon has to offer. The streaming provider has also been able to celebrate great success with “Invincible” since 2021.
“The Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman, who has adapted his own comic in animation, shows us the heroes from their brutal side. It’s actually a bit more serious than in the satirical “The Boys”. Although “Invincible” got the green light for two more seasons after the acclaimed opening season, we had to wait a whopping two and a half years until season 2 finally found its way to Amazon Prime Video in November 2023. But fortunately, after less than four months, this is already coming to an end. 4 new episodes of “Invincible” started on Prime Video on March 14, 2024. It continues with the second half of the second “Invincible” season. This includes another four episodes, which will be released on Prime Video every Thursday every week. Here the titular hero Invincible makes another detour into space to prevent an invasion of Earth by mind-controlling aliens. The finale of the second season can be seen on April 4th.
